regular customers of this lovely nepalese restaurant. Very friendly staff (who teach nepalese as a past time whilst serving the rice!)

Could do with a little more ambiance like lower lighting and sectioning off parts of the restaurant to make it more cosey & intimate.... but other than that - good food in large portions at a reasonable price.....

We went here last night for the first time (only lived here 2.5 years!). The food was wonderful, absolutely perfect.

It was very bright in there and we had to wait about 40 minutes between starter and main course, but it was very busy. By the time we left at around 9.30pm, every table was taken, and there were 13 people (including a group of 9) waiting to be seated!

Will definitely go there again, and recommend it highly!

We ate there on saturday night. Good food, great price and excellent service apart from the wait for the bill. The restaurant does an excellent job at making you feel welcome which in combination with the good food I believe is the key to their success.

It's great that the restauarant ( and the rising damp) has survived. I can remember going on the opening night when it was Cafe Bizarre and we had to wait for about 3 hours for our food but it was worth it.

PS The nan bread is out of this world.

Have to agree this place is fantastic, long may it remain in the triangle. Lovely staff, extremely attentive, happy to suggest and alter dishes. Love the fact that it has a changing specials menu with some interesting choices (goat?!). The dishes are among the tastiest I've tried, though they could be a bit freer with the chilli! Consistently good.

we had New year in there as a normal night - it was a bargain...it ended up being £20 each.... they were great and really friendly..... a very good NY - i hope they do this next year!!!

Sorry to dull the praise on this place but I just wasn't that into it.

Food was very bright orange (not natural I fear), lighting was horrendous and atmos was like being in a wierd canteen.

Having eaten far superior Nepalese food at Nanglo's in Balham I was very disapointed. It was fine, but just not fab....

I have to agree with Milou. I've never been impressed with the food here. Went there last night and overheard someone complaining about their curry!

i think it shows that this restaurant has more votes (and good votes too) above the other indian / nepalese restaurants in the area.

Without wishing to sound like a member of Fat Les, Gurka did us a nice vindaloo on Tuesday night this week....

Not tried Mehfil yet, but this place at present is creeping up front as the best out of what I've tried in its field.

Have been there many times and love it, gr8 food, reasonable prices and nice big bottles of Cobra

Have had several takeaways from there which have been good too.

Went there a couple of weeks back in a group of twelve and give them their credit everything was ok.

Wish they would add chicken balto to the menu though

In my experience, just ask Sanjay (the manager) and they'll make any dish you like regardless of whether it's on the menu. . .

This place is consistently very, very good...
If you venture off the main menu and onto their specials you can turn up something outstanding...

Spacious and comfortable as a venue and excellent food. Long may it remain at the Palace.

With out a doubt, the best curry house in the Palace. If only they served vegetarian Momo!!!! mmmmmmmm...........
