Went to South East for the first time on Sunday night for our wedding aniversary, after reading comments here. We thought the food was absolutely incredible - really lovely and as others have said, lovely service. True, ambiance could be a little better for those romantic diners and I missed the lovely cocktails found elsewhere, but other than that, completely fab. Even the coffee was delicious (and they had soya milk - which is great for veggies like us who don't do dairy.

All in all a big thumbs up and amazingly small bill at the end. Definately going back.

Tried this as a takeaway last night, the starters were ok - slightly dry and overcooked but the mains were fantastic.

Alright value, £20 for two people.

Had a take-away from South East last night.....sensational !
Like others on this thread who have experienced it, i thought the yellow curry was incredibly tasty.

And, as mentioned by other fortunates on this thread, the prices are tasty too.

Nice place, enjoyed the food, although the portions in these places always seem a bit on the small side.

I've never had a bad meal in here, and although the staff have changed, I've always found them friendly.

Only been here once after walking out of Chang Thai and they were very friendly and accomodating. Food was altered to our taste as well.

I seem to be using this place most Sundays now for a take-away and very nice it is too. heathlier than chinese or chippy food and no doubt Indian too. Good prices too

Excellent food and friendly service.

Certainly to be preferred to Tamnag Thai.

Only comment is that portions are a little small and I left still a little hungry but what was served up was quality.
Maybe a little pricey given the portion sizes but I would certainly go back.

I would be interested to know if the dishes are smaller than Tamnag?

We visited here with some friends on Saturday night and once again would commend it.

Food was of a very high standard as was the service.
It was very busy later on in the evening but the standard of service remained high which is a rarity in many restaurants in this context.

South East has some new editions to its specials menu and a new look menu too. The set menu looks v. good value for money.

I tried the mixed seafood in coconut milk sauce special last night and not only was it super delicious but a good size too. The quality of service and food was to the usual high standard. Probably the most delightful restaurant on the triangle.

We have been there on 30/12 and the service was very good. Food was good indeed and portions were indeed satisfactory. Definitely a 7/10.

Rubbish! Absolute rubbish. In fact so bad I'm writibg this from a blackberry in the restaurant just as the plates have been cleared. If you're vege, you'll love it because that's what all the dishes are...2 scallops in a scallop dish! 4 strips of chewy beef in sizzling beef dish! Come on, its pathetic. Never, and I mean NEVER coming back here. My pocket is 50 quid lighter, I'm still hungry, angry and full of vegetables. I reiterate...RUBBISH!
Either they don't know, don't show...or just don't care what's going on in Norwood.
