I'm going to be on maternity leave again in the Autumn and last time it took me ages to figure out what events were on and when... so I thought I'd start making a list here, which is bound to be slightly wrong in places as I'm writing from memory. Please feel free to correct me as there is alot that I don't know and of course suggest any additions ... ;o)

Monday
Time? Stay and Play at Heshima Centre

10.30 - 12.00 and 15.00 - 16.30 Mon > Fri- Crystal Palace Park Farm open to the public. Pigs, Alpaca, Shetland ponies, birds, rabbits, creepy crawlies etc to look at.

10.30 - Powerpramming - Crystal Palace Park. Cost - not sure (Joanne Newbould 07725 629507, jonewbould@powerpramming.co.uk). Meet on pathway between info centre and cafe.

09.30 -16.00 Mon>Fri - Crystal Palace One o'Clock Club (in the park - Crystal Palace Park Rd side). Cost - free.

Tuesday
10.00 - 12.00 Salvation Army toddler playgroup (020 8771 0979). Next to Sainsburys. Cost - not sure.

Every other Tuesday at 2pm - Waggle and Hum (singing nursery rhymes) at Upper Norwood Library. Cost - 50 pence.

Wednesday
10.00 -12.00 Stay and Play at Heshima Centre (behind Sainsburys) There is also a toy library open at this time. Great outdoor playground.

Thursday
10am - Waggle and Hum (singing nursery rhymes) at Upper Norwood Library. Cost - 50 pence. (I think there are now two sessions on thurs am as it's so popular ?)

10.00 - 12.00 Salvation Army toddler playgroup. Next to Sainsburys. Cost - not sure.

11am - Baby yoga on Berridge Road (not sure if this still has funding and whether it is still happening ?). Cost - used to be free.

Friday

10.30 - Powerpramming - Crystal Palace Park. Cost - not sure (Joanne Newbould 07725 629507, jonewbould@powerpramming.co.uk). Meet on pathway between info centre and cafe.

11.00 - The Big Scream - cinema - mum can bring babies up to one years old to the cinema at The Ritzy in Brixton (not strictly CP I know!). Quite good but sometimes quite noisy for little ones ears so bring mufflers - joke.

09.30 - 12.00 - Peter Pan playgroup at Phoenix Centre. Cost - 2.00 Better for toddlers although there is a small enclosed playpen for babies. Tea,coffee, toast, biscuits and fruit provided at small cost.

10.00 ? Storytime at The Horniman Museum. Cost - free.

13.30 - 15.00 - Stay and Play at Heshima Centre (behind Sainsburys). Cost - free. Excellent ball park for 18months and over.

That's very useful, thanks!

I'm due early November and was wondering what was out there. I think there's a one o clock club in Norwood Park as well.

Don't forget Monkey Music! Sessions in both Phoenix Centre at CP and Gipsy Hill each week. More info on their website - I'd definitely recommend it!

I agree, very useful - I go on maternity leave in 4 weeks (for number 2) so this is a great kick-start. If anyone out there knows about any NCT 2nd child tea groups I'd like to know - I think they run groups for mums with 2 kids?? or if anyone is on maternity leave and has a toddler and new baby I'd love to meet up as we'll be in the same boat !

James dixon primary school has a childrens center and it's lovely they do lots of activities and it's all free, it's next to crystal's nursery or anerley town hall or oposite Anerley station.
One'oclock club in crystal palace park is 2.50 or 3.00 quite expensive.
