Anyone know if the 432 is running? My other half reported seeing one but online research suggests not.

This Sunday, until 0800 and after 2100, there is no service on Overground between Sydenham and Crystal Palace due to Network Rail track maintenance work.

I've heard that the railway bridge near Penge Homebase is closed off this morning causing traffic chaos in the area - anyone know what's going on?

LBC states a road traffic accident.

Absolute gridlock in the Triangle (apart from Church Road side going west), Anerley Hill backed up for a mile and Crystal Palace Parade too. Traffic stationary. (15 minutes ago). Definitely to be avoided.

Thicket Road (Penge end) closed to traffic at 8.30am and two policemen directing traffic to avoid gridlock round the accident scene. Must be serious. I peculate that it was a car turning right into Anerley Park across the traffic that was hit by an oncoming vehicle. :(

Very sad indeed.
Is the road still closed and traffic still stuck?

All clear around the triangle. Had to drive to Norwood Junction, no problem.

A fallen tree is blocking College Road at the junction with the parade and a number 3 is jack-knifed across the carriageway. No one was hurt, thankfully.

Blimey, that could have been nasty :(

Reminds me that two buses have crashed through the wall above the housing estate on the parade in my time in CP, but no one died thankfully as far as I recall - god knows how. My stomach is in my mouth every time I am on a No 3 that swings out of the bus terminus along the parade from the memory.

Decided to take the No 3 from CP today as opposed to the train. Big mistake.

1. Bus supposed to leave every 6 to 7 mins. More like 20 to 25 mins :(

2. One of the three No 3s finally left and thankfully I got a seat. For no apparent reason we were all chucked off half way down Croxted Rd and told to wait for another whilst our bus drove off empty! Needless to say next bus was rammed so no seat :(

No wonder people stick to trains :( :( :(
