Poor old H, why is it that when someone has the balls to stand up and share their vision of world domination that people have to deride them/shoot them down/ridicule them huh?? I dunno....

Kidcongo, can I just say that that tumbleweed is moving far too fast for my liking.

Pedantically deconstructing the obvious, I enjoyed reading Wikipedia's entry on the symbolic meaning of tumbleweed:

The tumbleweed's association with the Western film has led to a highly symbolic meaning in visual media. It has come to represent locations that are desolate, dry, and often humorless, with few or no occupants. A common use is when characters encounter a long abandoned or dismal-looking place: A tumbleweed will be seen rolling past, often accompanied by the sound of a hollow, dry wind. This is sometimes used in locations where tumbleweeds are not expected, for comedic effect. It is also sometimes used to punctuate a bad joke or a character otherwise making an absurd declaration, with the plant rolling past in the background and the wind effect emphasizing the awkward silence (similar to the sound of crickets).

Ah but wasn't that his problem- that his distinct lack of Balls led him on his merry path (The other is still apparently in the Albert Hall!!) ;)

Nanazola, your post made me nearly spill my cup of tea over my Daily Telegraph. Instead it's gone all over my slippers. Pah!

Never mind, I see claudia is doing her best to drum up a bit of news in her "new openings" post. We should have a sweepstake as to how many minutes it is before all of the following points are made on it:

1) it won't last, business is dead since the OWS.
2) is will all be for nothing if the M2 destroys our town centre.
3) as long as they don't have pink shutters.
4) bet it'll be another estate agents.
5) hope it's a Waitrose or an M&S simply food.
6) bring back Pillow Talk.

Toast is burning, I'd better go and sort it out now, he says stroking his favourite Persian and putting more coals on the fire.

Post of the day Andreas - promise to hold fire for the rest of the week.

andreas is taking the fun out of it for the rest of us! There's nothing most of us like better than to find a new venue to air our same old arguments...now he's gone in there and taken credit for all of them all at once.

Reminds me of a joke about German diplomacy and Queen Victoria's farts...(I'll tell it to you at the next VN social if you don't know it already)

So please, can someone start posting interesting threads, otherwise I really will have to get on with "the social value of the savings industry"
