I went up on Saturday for a look around and to take some pics. Looked really well organised and as Nanazola said, there was a really great vibe. Would definitely welcome more of the same kind of events.

Ah, I was wondering why I kept seeing Minis whilst driving around South London on Sunday  Lovely cars, my friend used to have one years ago - it was a scary experience the way he drove though!

Love the pics CityView, esp the one with the transmitter in the background. Crystal Palace at its best!

Thanks Nanazola and Charlie. Those Mini's are certainly photogenic. My personal preference was the pic of Alfie the guard dog poodle, guarding his owners Mini.

I believe a friend will be entering his classic Mini next year, which he's currently restoring so will I'm sure be returning next year.

It's nearly time again. Sunday 20th May is Mini run day this year with many meeting and camping on Saturday night.
We'll be clogging up the roads - particularly Anerley Hill from about 8.30am until lunchtime.

Come and give us a wave or potter amongst us at some unearthly hour on a Sunday morning.

Sadly redbunny we'll be in bed that early on a Sunday. With you in spirit though, my favourite ever car was a red mini with white stripes and bonnet - absolutely loved that wee car, lovely to look at and drive and uber reliable.

Loved it last year and good for the area as hundreds of mini owners spill into the triangles pubs and restuarants in the evening. Was a good night in the G and G last time with the eurovision song contest and abba dancing afterwards. Seem like a decent crowd.

I heard the first 'funny' car horn at 7am this morning  and one of the mini's crashed into a parked car on Anerley Hill right where I normally park mine! Cant work out how they got all the way over to the other side of the road to hit the car?

It's a bit later this year - 2nd June.

http://www.london-to-brighton.co.uk/

Otherwise same format. Arriving from Saturday lunchtime on the 1st and start leaving the park about 8am on Sunday 2nd.

Come and have a look if it's your sort of thing or keep clear that weekend if it's not!

Thanks for the reminder RedB, it's a very jolly event, even to such a non-petrolhead as myself!
