:(

Bill Tarmy aka Jack Duckworth from Coronation Street.
I'll never be able to look at a pair of glasses with a plaster holding together in the same light again.

His last scene in Coronation Street made me cry.

Oscar Niemeyer , 104 years old , Brazilian architect who designed some fantastic buildings and shaped outdoor spaces to be enjoyed . Loved his museum of comtemporary art and Ravello's Auditorium.

I too was saturned by his passing.

On a serious note though - he was rare - a truly good guy (or that's how he seemed)

Yep, especially about the Irish.
I make mixes, some of which are quite good. My wife and I cook things too.

Seems to be the flavour of the month - who knows - he may be in the ranks of Cyril Smith and Jimmy SaVILE before the end of the week.

I guess my great uncle was a rascist too - he tried to live his life by not buying anything of Japanese origin (that's difficult) . Might have had something to do with his being in Singapore at the wrong time - still he survived ... just about

Patrick Moore was a star

So he hated Germans for killing his sweetheart ! He was part of Bomber Command & as far I am concerned he had nothing to apologise about !
