Hello all,

We have an urgent need for new property management for 2 blocks of flats (15 flats in all) in Upper Norwood. Does anyone have any recommendations for reliable property management/maintenance at reasonable rates?

Any advice would be most gratefully received!

Bumping my own thread

Our freeholder has agreed that we can find our own local property management company (as our current one based in North London is appalling). We need to do it quickly so really grateful for any local recommendations!

One of the large blocks of flats at the top of Beulah Hill has recently taken on a company called May and Phillpot, based in Croydon.
I work for the flats as a subcontractor and have been there since they ran the management themselves.
Since I have started dealing with them they seem very profesional and efficient and do manage blocks of that size.
The person that I have been dealing with is called John Naylor.
I have no idea what they charge, though.

I hope that is of some help.

Prior based in beckenham 02086763020 compared to our last agents they are good and things have got done, with enthausiastic owners takes two to tango I believe.

Thank you for your responses - very much appreciated.

We are following up on May & Philpot and Prior, who both seem reasonable and 'sorted'. Does anyone else have any experience of them?

Summit Lover, did you find a good management agents? I'd be really interested - ours are completely incompetent and we're paying them for nothing - so any good recommendations for alternative agents would be really helpful.

We went with May & Philpot - happy with them to date, far cheaper and more effective than our previous agents.
