SLR I'm sorry but the gas noises still do happen, I've heard them from West Ham fans whilst at White Hart Lane within the last couple of years. I appreciate that it really is a very small minority but the fact is it is still happening. To say that the noises were never used in conjunction with that word is simply not believable the 2 are so closely related that it can't only be a coincidence and if they were not related why would they be known as gas noises surely they would be thought of as something else.

Whether it will happen or not I don't think anyone really knows at the moment but the sizeable bond could be a factor in the economics of West Ham getting it. We'll see on Jan 28th.

As a season ticket holder for many years I would say that is completely wrong. I've been there many times over the last 20 years. The 'y' word is not used in conjunction with that.

Anyway I'm just glad Isabelles gusset is dry.

I would suggest you get your facts right. The term is used NOT as an insult as I;ve explained on here. Yes I have heard the gas noises but that was eons ago in the bad old 80's and they were never used in conjunction with 'that' word. You just dont hear that these days. If anyone did that at the Boleyn these days they would get shouted down. You cant call youselves a name then wee your pants if someone else calls you that.

As for 'losing' WHU to the lower divisions you'd be gutted. Arsenal arent your close rivals anymore, were the closest thing you've got to a rival. Who would you be left with?? Fulham?

Yossi Benayoun - an Israeli who has never played for Spurs - is greeted with chants of 'y*ddo' every time he plays at Upton Park. Slightly insulting don't you think?

But returning to the topic at hand, I agree that the CP plans are lip service from THFC in response to the growing opposition from the athletic fraternity.

I even remember the crowd at Upton Park brandishing the Star of David when Eyal Berkovic was there in the late 90s (got into a scrap with John Hartson on the training ground once if I remember correctly...). Don't forget that East London was a hotbed of anti-fascism (Cable St) and the home of a large number of Jews.

Anyway we are waaaaaaaay off topic here. Has anyone got anything more to add on the stadium redevelopment?

Yes, sounds like the Spurs offer could be a complete disaster but I like the idea of CP remaining a top class athletics venue having spend my youth watching the gripping Coe/Ovett races at the grand prixs. CP is steeped with history.

Am in two minds about it - it would rejuvenate the stadium I suppose, but having seen the mayhem for the surrounding streets when CP have played at Selhurst Park I hate to think of it happening around the park/triangle

The relocation of this club would be a total disaster
A friend of mine lived near the Selhurst site and moved because of the mayhem and lack of parking and general anti social behavior I cannot understand why some people are so intent on destroying this area,I have no problem with regeneration but this is an awfully sad idea....I may as well sell up now!!

I bet the LDA must be laughing their socks off. They spent years coming up with a masterplan and then when they released they didn't have the money ( & what money they do have they would rather spend in East London than unfashionable South Central London) and faced with the prospect of having a dilapidated stadium on their books they now have two footy clubs wanting to do it up.

As it happens, I'm looking into selling up. Just hope there's a Palace fan out there who wants to live close to their team.

Had a quick look at the CPFC fans forum and there's much excitement about the prospect of a move to the Park. Most seem keen to get rid of the athletics track and are hoping for West Ham to get the Stratford Stadium to support this.

There's some concern about 'the NIMBYS' who might cause problems. Well you can count me as one of those. Looks like the KICC won't be the only ones attempting to 'take territories'

The prospect fills me with dread!
