Mayor's Visit to Crystal Palace 4th September 2003 Hot on the heels of the recent press release by Crystal Palace Community Association (see Virtual Norwood News 3/9/03) we were delighted to receive photos of London Mayor Ken Livingstone just moments after he visited Crystal Palace Station this morning. Virtual Norwood Forum regular Dan Smart works in offices just above the station and heard the hubbub going on outside and took these photos. There were various people from the GLA, LDA and TfL. The main purpose of the visit seemed to be the future of Crystal Palace as a transport hub, with the ELL Extension, Tramlink, etc, and the possible inclusion of the National Sports Centre within the Olympic bid. |
