Virtual Streets Archive 2006

The Virtual Streets Archive 2006 shows you how Norwood, Anerley and Sydenham used to look in the Year 2006. We surveyed 8 of our 40 streets this year and made many smaller updates in other areas.

We also carried out substantial improvements to our pub and restaurant guides, including the launch of local guides for Gipsy Hill, West Norwood, Upper Norwood and Crystal Palace.

The forum continued to go from strength to strength and the highlight of the year was getting the news scoop that Sainsbury's were opening a new store in Upper Norwood. It even made the national news. Free social events and book club meetings are still popular with forum members and the community helped to create a bespoke design of Monopoly based on the Norwood area.

We integrated all our Virtual Anerley related information with details from Virtual Sydenham and Virtual Penge and put them on our main web site at Virtual Norwood. This will help us to keep details as up to date as possible and reduce administration costs.
