The lehenga choli is an essential part of every Asian women’s wardrobe. Although you may not wear them on a daily basis, for weddings or celebrations of any type, a lehenga is a perfect option to look great and feel confident. There are many different types of lehengas available, and the best style for you is dependent on your body type. Finding one that fits you properly and highlights your best features can be a challenge if you don’t know where to start.

1.Petite

If you have a petite body type, then you want to use your lehenga to add some volume and give the illusion of curves. A petite frame gives you the option to add lots of features on to your Asian clothing, like pleats, tiers and flares that will emphasize the best parts of your body. You can also add on a dupatta, but make sure that it’s folded neatly so that it doesn’t take all of the attention.

2. Athletic

Those with a diamond body type will be narrow at the hips but widen at the waist. You can draw the eye diagonally across the body by wearing a top or choli that only has one shoulder. Additionally, you want to elongate the body, and you can draw the eye down with a long, floor-length blouse which sits over your lehenga.

6. Apple

If you have an apple-shaped body, then you’ll have a fuller bust and mid-section, with narrower hips and slimmer legs. You’ll want to highlight your legs and draw attention away from the bust, so a fantastic option is a high-low lehenga. A high-low will allow you to show some of your legs, while still being conservative and having a full-length back.
